Audio part (to be listened with headphones)

Choosing between degrowth and progress in the face of global warming. The audio part tells the true story of a journey inspired by Don Quixote, in which the artist and his partner attempt to cycle to France’s largest wind farm in the Nord Pas de Calais region, a wind turbine they see as a representation of contemporary industrial giants. On the bikes, the two partners load flashlights using the dynamo, in order to take a one-hour exposure photo with this light, at night in the field. However, due to bad weather, the travelers are forced to abandon their environmentally-friendly means of transport for the safety and comfort of the car and train. The story ultimately tells of the difficulty of changing models and the importance of resilience in this process, as the final image is nevertheless achieved despite the feeling of failure of the attempt.
